Study to assess the main factors contributing to the under-representation of women judges in the management of the common courts in Georgia

Today, Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metekhi Palace hosted Presentation of the research results.The research was conducted by ACT analysis and consulting group within the framework of the Council of Europe's project Support to Judicial Reform in Georgia. Presentation of his results was presented by ACT's social studies manager Keso Esebua.The main objective of the study was to identify key factors contributing to the under-representation of women in the common court system.The fieldwork, which was conducted in April-May of this year, was attended by both female and male court representatives, judge assistants and court managers. In addition, the survey respondents were representatives of the non-governmental sector, the legislature, and women students of the Masters of Law program.
