On the 3rd and 4th of August, Kutaisi City Hall hosted a workshop within the framework of the project “Internship Problems in Georgia”. The mentioned project was initiated by the Young Socialists of Georgia (YSG) and was implemented with the support of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation ( Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Georgia).
Young people interested in the project from Tbilisi and Kutaisi participated in the workshop, as well as different social groups, Trade Unions, NGOs, representatives of local self-government and legislative bodies.
The participants were informed about the results of the research conducted by ACT Impact. The research report was presented by the project manager Ketevan Antadze. It is important to note that this research is the only wide-scale research document, which directly adresses the internship institute.
Apart from that, a discussion was held regarding the problems related to internship process in present-day Georgia. The participants discussed different ways to solve the mentioned problems and also planned further activities of the project.
